A Little Look-See

Here's a few (or more than a few) pictures of what I've been up to the past few weeks. :) Some of these photos are candid-esque and others slightly more photo shoot-y, you decide which is which; either way enjoy!

Look at that mug! :)
My beautiful friend, Ariella's, cat. :)

And her dog.
And her amazing book collection! :D
The start of a new trail I've come to love in the past few weeks. :)

The start of an amazing night with some of my best friends! :) (Vlog coming tomorrow!)

Just a Few Bits and Bobs

Hello lovelies! I got some new items since the new year (as recently as last week ;)) and I'm very excited about them, so I thought I would share!

Some of the candles pictured above have been in my possession since December, but a few of them are new as well. I purchased a 3-wick Dolce candle and a small Flannel candle from Bath and Body Works and from TJMaxx, I got a Tangerine and Thyme candle (which smells absolutely gorgeous!) who's brand I'm not too sure of, an Everyday Luxe candle in Spiced Licorice, and below is another Everyday Luxe candle in Lemon Madeleines.

H&M Lipstick in Love That Red
Paris Hilton by Paris Hilton perfume
Ciate Very Colourfoil Manicure
Ciate paint pot in Cream Soda with "Flirt" foil over top.
H&M...things. Lol Honestly, I'm not too sure what these are; when they were in the packaging, I thought they were hair elastics that double as bracelets, but they're actually not elasticated. Anyone know what exactly these are?
H&M ring

(All items from H&M were on offer for buy 2 get 1 free and the ring above was only $1 as it were!)
TJMaxx
These are my first pair of brogues and I love them!
When I spotted this at the store, I had to snatch one up! I've been waiting for the Rimmel Show Off lip lacquers (which in the UK are called Rimmel Apocolips) to come around for ages! This is is in the shade Comet.
I'm absolutely in love with these lip lacquers! They consistency is so smooth and non-sticky and they are so, so pigmented! I will definitely be purchasing a few more shades. :)
Well, that is all I have for you today, hope you enjoyed! Have a beautiful day everyone! Xx

Skincare | 2014 Blogger Challenge

Hello, hello! So Topic 2 of the 2014 Blogger Challenge is here! Now the topic is about winter skincare, but I'm not going to sit here and lie to you and say that I have an amazing skincare routine for the winter season. Lol To be honest, my skin has been quite a nightmare since mid-December; I usually have moderately good skin, but I started having pretty bad breakouts around my chin, forehead, and cheeks (basically everywhere!) since I got home from Las Vegas! I mainly blamed the climate change from Orange County to Vegas to Orange County, but they would not go away! Plus, my dry patches have gotten dryer. Anyway, this post is going to be the products I've been using the past week that are helping my skin immensely and the products that I'd like to purchase to aide in the fight against bad skin! ;P

1. Neutrogena Clear Pore Cleanser/Mask - I've had this product for quite a long time, but never found it that great. I would use it as a mask every now and then, but other than that its been very unloved on my shower rack. However, due to the severe breakouts I've had, I started using this four times a week and I felt it did help to calm down the blemishes quite a bit. I'm glad I've held onto it! The only downside, for me, is that it is quite drying (I'm assuming because of the benzoyl peroxide) which isn't helping my dry patches.

2. Neutrogena Fresh Foaming Cleanser - I've talked about this cleanser before so I'll just say a bit about it. It's a very gentle cleanser that is really good daily, night and day; ticks all the boxes for me. :)

St. Ives Blemish Control Apricot Scrub - Love this scrub; does what it says to a T basically, simple as. :)

3. Eucerin Q10 Anti-Wrinkle Sensitive Skin Creme - During the fall season, I was using my Botanics Hydrating Day Cream and Botanics Hydrating Night Cream, but the past month it just has not been cutting it unfortunately. It'd probably be great in the spring, but I've had to to back to my trusty Eucerin moisturizer. It's a much thicker cream and it soothes my dry skin really, really well.

4. Tazorac - This product is actually a prescription cream product that I used to use back when I was about 14, but as my skin cleared up the past eight years, I haven't had to use it. Well I renewed my prescription and it's still just as good as it always was! I've only used this for the past three days and my blemishes are completely starting to clear up! This product is not for everyone, so please consult with your dermatologist before thinking about getting it. :)

Now, onto the products that I'd like to get in the very near future. ;) I like the products I've been using but I would really like to step up my skincare regime.

1. Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser - I'm sure you've all heard about this cleanser as countless beauty gurus love it (including the amazing Zoe Sugg!). I trust the opinions of the beauty community and really, really look forward to trying this out. :)

2. Boots Expert Sensitive Hydrating Eye Cream - My allergies have been severely acting up lately and my eyes have been so itchy! Don't scold me, but I always rub them! :( So now I'm left with red, dry, puffy eyes and am in need of an eye cream. I found this at my local Target a while back and debated getting it, but now I think I'll actually go purchase it. If any of you beautiful people have suggestions for a really good eye cream, leave it in the comments. :)

3. Origins High-Potency Night-A-Mins - I grew up knowing that Origins is an amazing brand for skincare because I would always take a look through my sister's products and she had plenty of Origins products on her counter and shelves and the time has come for me to finally purchase my own! Lol The price put me off for a long time, but I've come to accept that you get what you pay for with skincare (with the exception of a few products, of course). This moisturizer contains moisture-rich replenishers and it is said to best for combination to dry skin. Sounds good to me!

So there you have it, folks! My second post of the 2014 Blogger Challenge! If you have any suggestions for skin products for me, please feel free to leave them in the comments! Ta for now! Xx

"My First Time" Tag

I have been tagged by the the very kind and beautiful Daniela at lifeloverbydani so here it is! I may or may not film a corresponding video for this tag as well. :)

1. First YouTube video you ever watched?
I don't remember what the first video was considering it was quite a long time ago, but I'm sure it was some kind of music video or band related video. The earliest memories I have of YouTube are videos of McFly and Busted. :)

2. First person you subscribed to on YouTube?
Again, I can't quite remember that far back and the people I do remember don't make YouTube videos anymore, however, the earliest YouTuber I remember subscribing to that still makes videos today is Marcus Butler. I was subscribed to him when he was still MarcusBrapZap. Lol

3. Do you still talk to your first love?
I have actually never been in love, but yes, I still talk to the person who I thought I was deeply in love with. ;)

4. First kiss?
My first kiss was with my friend while we were watching Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World at the movie theater that we worked at when I was 17. I had liked him for quite some time and during the moving he just leaned over and kissed me. :P

5. First alcoholic drink?
Hmm, it's hard to say cause I had been given many a sip of alcohol very early on in my life, but the first time I ever got drunk was with my sister who is 8 years older than me and her friends when I was 11. We were drinking Gatorade and vodka or what we like to call "Fadorade".
(We do not encourage the consumption of alcohol by any underage individuals. :))

6. First car?
I still have not owned my own car as I have never had a license. My dream car is definitely a black '67 Chevy Impala a la the TV show, Supernatural. :)

7. First job?
I worked at a movie theater up the street from my house from 16 to 18 and it was quite the experience. I made almost all of my best friends both directly and indirectly through working there. <3

8. First pet?
I believe my first pet was a white pomeranian that ended up biting me when I was 2 so we gave him to a relative.

9. First celebrity crush?
Ooo, this is quite difficult because I had very many childhood celebrity crushes, but the first one to come to mind is Tommy the white/red ranger from The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. :)

10. First real boyfriend?
I have never had a boyfriend actually.

11. Who was the first person to text you today?
Dalton :)

12. Who was your first grade teacher?
Hmm, I don't remember, but the first teacher I remember having was my fourth grade teacher, Mrs. Campos.

13. Where was your first sleepover
I'm pretty sure the first sleepover I had was at my friend Selena's house and yet again, that was in fourth grade. I guess specific details only go back to fourth grade for me.

14. What was the first thing you did this morning?
I replied to Dalton's text and made a cup of coffee. :)

15. First concert you ever went to?
I went to an N*SYNC concert with my dad, uncle, sister, and her friend. :)

16. First broken bone?
I have never broken a bone, I've just sprained my ankle.

17. First movie you remember seeing?
The first movie to come to mind is Precious Moments: Timmy's Gift. Adorable movie, I might add!

18.First sport you were involved in?
Basketball in sixth grade.

19. First tweet?
My first tweet was on November 13, 2008 and it was "oh procrastination." How appropriate. ;P

20. First Facebook profile picture?
Well this is embarrassing. :P

21. First piercing?
My ears were pierced when I was 6 months.

Thank you to Daniela, you can check out her blog at lifeloverbydani.blogspot.com! I tag anyone who would like to do this! Have at it! :)

Just a Quick FYI

Some of you may notice that I now have a gadget on the side of my blog stating that I am part of a PR company. This will in no way effect the reviews that I post on my blog, if there are any items I am sent to review, I will still be as honest as ever. I will also specify whether or not an item I am reviewing is sent to me or is something I have purchased myself. :)

Reuniting With a Good Friend!

I went out last night and met up with someone I've missed quite a lot and I took some pictures before I left and thought I'd show all of you! :)
